Kelly Clarkson was an American singer/songwriter that became the American sweetheart after she was crowned American Idol in the first series. The show's win that catapulted Kelly Clarkson's name to the forefront and fortune, but it also secured her an agreement with RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records" for a series of albums. In the years since, she's released many studio albums, three of which reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart while the other albums narrowly fell short of the top spot. Her name is regarded as one of the many of the most popular American Idol artists. She was a bit flimsy as she found success with various themes and musical styles, often writing songs of her own. Her individuality and her singing talent earned her praise from critics, as well as several high-profile awards. One of her most memorable achievements was that she received 3 Grammy awards. Her music career is not her only occupation. Her appearances in movies and television programs. She also co-wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with various charitable organizations.
