After a brief period as a model for fashion, she quickly transitioned to acting by appearing as guest stars on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. The film debut came in 1997's thriller Nowhere. Then, in American Beauty and American Pie the actress gained more recognition in her roles. In 2000, she starred as a co-star with American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the main role in Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun an independent 2002 drama film and Trauma (2004) thriller were both part of her professional career. In 2004, she was a guest on HBO's drama Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, Suvari was seen in various films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari was featured in numerous fashion magazines and blogs and blogs, such as Vogue. Suvari is also a Lancome model who appears in ads in print for Lancome Paris Adaptive. Suvari has been a defender and advocates on behalf of African Medical and Research Foundation which is an established charity that offers relief to Africa. She is also involved with issues of female empowerment and works with organizations that support breast cancer awareness and an End Violence Against Women Campaign.
