Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who was featured in various European as well as American films. The most famous of her roles was her part in the comedy drama film 'La Dolce Vita'. The film received an Oscar and the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, it was also highly acclaimed and critically acclaimed. Prior to her first acting gig The Swedish-born actress was employed as a fashion model for international magazines. Then she won the Miss Sweden contest. After that, she was transferred to the US, and began appearing in multiple movies playing minor role. She played the Venusian Guard in 'Abbott & Costello's Trip to Mars.' This was her first role with credit. That same year she received with the Golden Globe in the category of "Most Outstanding Newcomer" for her role in the movie "Blood Alley. In the course of her career, she was in many other films such as the war-themed American-Italian film 'War and Peace', and the Western Film 'Valerie'"The Man Inside," the British adventure crime film, 'The man inside", as well as the French-Italian drama 'The Dam on the Yellow River'.
